Any live music lovers?

Wanted to go to a music festival but prices put you off?

It seems that a large number of music festivals now do free tickets for carers for anyone on med/high rate of DLA. Which might make a big difference in folks being able to attend.

Hope this helps as no matter what genre of music you like, you simply can't beat live music!!

Not just music festivals ThumpUp

Phil and I are going to this years Gadget Show Live and we get a carers ticket free... In the past we have also done London Eye, Twycross Zoo, Longleat and there is also a card you can get for cinema which allows a carer in for free - The Cinema Exhibitors Association Card

Many places will allow a free place... just ask for a disabled & carer ticket...

i am taking richard away to the o2 this weekend for our wedding anniversary (he knows nothing about it!!!!)

It is the British music exhibition- and then we are seeing an orchestra do Star Wars in the afternoon. he gets in FREE as my "carer".

You can also get this cinema card Im told.

I would love to go to Glastonbury again one year- but all the mud etc makes me think it might be a pipe dream!

I went last time in 2000 when david bowie was on and I could walk pretty well.

Do you have to be wheelchair-bound to qualify? I have a blue badge and whenever I've used it to prove I qualify for a discounted ticket somewhere, I've always been given the beedy eye and made to feel like a fraud. So I don't bother anymore.

Nope you don't have to be wheelchair bound... I have a blue badge and use this as proof but bearing in mind I also use it to park, its not always possible to show so know what you mean about the beady eye... I just stand my ground... the way I see it, arthritis, pain, lack of mobility is a negative side of my life... if the positive is getting access to places for free then I'm gonna make the most of it...

You have too be a bit mouthy .As otherwise its not adavised

Some countys do it some don,t always ask i look fine and have got in free .

Bath pump rooms free if you say you have R.a some other things cheaper and free and for the carers in the Bath area .
Warwick shire carers get in free and your self for a silly price .
Norfolk a no no well all the places i tried did get in one place reduced .

Gloucestershire i got in half price and also Steve as my carer and i don,t need a carer .Say you are on benfits cos of R.A

Whitshire i got in half price ( think we both got OAP rates )

Just say you never know its payed of a few times with me .Yes all i get is benfits so i don,t feel gulity
